Out-Of-Body-Experiences, Astral Travel And Our Soul

"I awoke this morning not knowing if what had happened to me last night was a dream, an out-of-body experience or some sort of astral travel. I am shaken but not in a bad, unnerving sort of way. I'm trying to sort out the truth and need your help! I know I dozed off and fell asleep to an old movie I was watching from my bed last night. I know I fell asleep. Then I'm not sure what time it was, but it was still night time and the television was still on. This time, however, I noticed my room from a completely different place! I had my eyes open at one point and felt my whole self rise toward the ceiling fan! Before reaching the ceiling fan the view now changed instantly and I was looking down at myself and my bedroom. I noticed I was fast asleep and as I looked around I saw another program on television. I stared at myself and then in another blink of an eye I was descending back toward myself. I don't remember anything else until I awoke. I awoke remembering this incident and sat straight up in my bed in disbelief. The television was not on anymore! Can you help me explain what really happened here? Was I dreaming? This has never happened to me and I would really like to know! Thank you!"

..."I have begun reading books on astral travel and remote viewing since we last spoke. I began to experiment and explore the possibility that I may be able to do this! You know how skeptical I am! But, my curiosity is much too strong to let this one go. So, a few days ago, I began to meditate and put myself in a relaxed state and prepare myself to do some remote viewing. I began to put into my mind's eye my sister's face and worked from there. More information came through and I saw her gardening in the back of her house. She was planting roses and working away. After some time, I shifted my focus and began my own guided visualization technique. It's a technique I've been using for a week now, and it's been incredible! Lilian, the money is coming in!. Anyway, after my time in meditation, I went and recorded my insights and called my sister immediately afterward. There was no answer, so, I left her a message to call me. She did call that night and did reveal she had been in the garden and planting roses! Now, I have to add, my sister is not a gardener. She has people gardening for her. But this day she said she got the 'gardening bug' for some reason and she learned all about how to plant and grow roses - because that is her favorite flower! I couldn't believe it! I thought to share this with you because I still don't know if it all was a coincidence or not?"...

The mystery of human consciousness has been written about for many years. With all that is written and experienced, it cannot be denied that this is a vast and somewhat challenging concept. For anyone to say with absolute certainty is not the way to go, and I for one could not in absolute terms define Soul or Consciousness. We are bound by language, bound by our prejudices, our perceptions, our judgements, and so on. Many more people have been having unique experiences, those who would never have dabbled in anything Quantum related, let alone pondering the meaning of Consciousness or Soul. But what delights me is that I do understand there is 'more' to what our physical reality is showing us and if that means more people are questioning such things means that more are being shown that yes, there is more beyond our physical embodiment.

There are endless accounts of people experiencing many things which are beyond precise measurement, beyond proof, beyond rational explanation. The more we do experience the greater the mystery. We can share our experiences, read about the possibilities, but we really won't fully understand time and space, and all things 'non-physical', until it's time to leave our physical body (die)- or, leave this plain! To question where the Soul resides is futile as everyone's experience with this vastness, this essence, comes in different forms. Should we say one's interpretation is incorrect? It's a matter of keeping our 'thinking heads' from interfering with a need to appropriate, to clarify, to box in a phenomena. It is just that, a phenomena which occurred to someone and it is just as real as a flower blooming.

Let's take a flower for an example. How does it bloom? We have D.N.A, electrons, atoms, nucleus, and other 'scientific' 'names' or 'findings' conducted by humans who report on the physics, chemistry, biology of a flower. These scientists are working within a scope where their energies are focused on what the microscope is revealing. Again, putting names to things is also limiting. It's about categorizing what is evident and scientific names are applied to certain findings in order to meticulously identify 'x', 'y' or 'z'. It's really to unify and make available terms other scientists can use when describing a finding. So, everyone is on the same page. But, in the end, the need to be able to categorize what they see for reference sake cannot be the end to their observations but a new beginning. I like to take it a step further and ask well, what makes all the variables (findings) function? What is making the electrons vibrate? What sort of non-visible energy is activating the so called 'D.N.A'? What activates the D.N.A in a human body? All things considered scientific, what's the motor behind the energetic movement of our own molecules? Not so clear cut. And so too are experiences such as out-of-body, astral travel and any discussion on the 'Soul'.

It definitely is a topic much too vast to cover here, my point is to convey a message of remaining open or maybe not shut out others who have had experiences which are profound and unique. We cannot say it didn't happen, we are not them. But within our own world of perceptions when reading literature written by so called experts who try to 'debunk' such experiences, or who categorize vast topics of inquiry, it would be great to remain open to many more possibilities.
